Harborough Town Hub has set up four Neighbourhood Forums. Little Bowden, Welland, Logan and Town Centre, and Arden.
Each Forum is responsible for writing its own Neighbourhood Plan with priorities in Built Environment, Transport, Social and Community and Flooding and Green spaces environmental sub-groups.
Each of the four Forums communicate with the central Town Hub and the Hub also communicates with Leicestershire County Council, Harborough District Council, the Voluntary Sector, Advisory Groups etc with many representatives of these groups also sitting on the Harborough Town Hub.
As an independent, non-party political, community-led organization, Harborough Town Hub’s main objective is to create and sustain momentum that enables positive action between all community groups, schools, businesses and government agencies and is inclusive of all who live and work in Market Harborough.

Did you know?
Market Harborough is the second most flood risk town in Leicestershire after Loughborough. We have set up a Harborough Flood Action Group with 16 flood wardens who are helping our 35 internal flooded properties since June 2023 including 3 schools and 80 problem areas in total. We have 2300 properties at risk. We’re helping many multiple villages as well and are powered by Community Magic attached.
We have instigated 15 large area natural flood management schemes working with East Mercia Rivers Trust (EMRT), EA and Anglian Water. The most developed example is the Smeeton Westerby scheme where we’re planting another 2000 trees on 14 December. We are part of the Market Harborough Surface Water Management Plan and the Anglian Water citizen science river warden scheme which includes the River Jordan as part of Welland Catchment. We are in discussion Market Harborough Golf Club and other landowners who land drains into Market Harborough.
